This post is dedicated to my best-est friends... And that's you, ya you, Orangees and Mightees. Wondering how many of u actually still visit this blog but anyway just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to this wonderful group of people that i am so fortunate to be with. 2010 started off great for me, but became a crisis for me eventually and i'm sure u guys must be bored about me preaching all these things that have absolutely nothing to do with you guys. But THANKS for being there for me whenever i needed help, the endless invitations to the group's activities and also not forgetting that i'm still a friend of yours. Now that i have come back, even though i've noticed some slight changes in our friendship eg. talking less, joking less etc. , just wanna let you guys know i'm still the same ol' BOB, perhaps a little different from the past due to being scarred by the events in his pathetic life, but deep down inside i'm still me. Looking forward to more outings and football sessions with you people, my friends. Not just ordinary friends, but friends that i believe would back me up when i'm down, friends that i wouldn't want to lose and friends that i feel who are worth spending the rest of my life with. 2010 full of valuable lessons for me, but one of the most important lessons for me is something we all know but often take for granted ; A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND INDEED.

P.S. give me a lil more time to adapt back to life ok, like what CZ always says, eh Bob the last time i saw u was like before CNY 2010, that's how long i have been away.

Supposed to meet at compass point 9.30am sharp but as it turned out, we were all late except cass.

Luckily, Ken's father drove us to Causeway point if not the commandos would have waited much longer. While waiting for Sarah's friend, we had breakfast at Long John's........

As soon as Sarah's friend arrived, we were off, to the hinterland of natural resources as mentioned in our secondary school History textbooks, PENISular Malaysia!!!

City square was our first stop, Ken and Aloy "pang seh" the girls and some of the guys to go for a haircut while the rest went for some cheap and good curry fish head just outside the shopping mall....

Ok, it was a rather lousy movie in my opinion because all the while i was thinking about the restaurant we were going to visit later...

It was raining cats and dogs but it couldn't dampen our moods.

Recruits fall in also not as fast as us getting settled down, ready to make our order.

The legendary salted egg crab...

LOOK AT ALL THE EXCITED FACES!!! But the uncle told us the crabs haven't arrived at the restaurant so we had no choice but to summon the most respected figure in the whole of Malaysia...

True enough, the uncle made a phone call and assured us that the crabs would arrive in half an hour's time so we ordered some side dishes first...

There were Crab with glass noodles and Pepper Crab, but by then we were all too busy eating to take more photos...

Even when eating mantou, we were reminded of kok rui's you-know-what. Nevertheless, kok's you-know-what were no match for these golden brown buns. Sorry kok, this time round you lose.

After a heartening meal...

Look at all the satisfied faces, 7 crabs and so many side dishes at just SGD28 each for the first dinner of 2010, how can we not be happy!

One last look at the restaurant before we left. Apparently in JB, if the restaurant's name has the chinese word 'golden', it must be good or it might just be purely coincidence. Don't take my word for it.Hopefully, we will be visiting Kimdo in the not too distant future

Rules and Regulations of O.P.C :
1. No poker session should be carried out without the EXCO members
2. 1 poker session per week at 20/40, maximum of 2 sessions are allowed at 10/20
3. Games are subjectable to extensions for a maximum of 30min from the initial ending time.
4. Forfeits decided by the EXCO members must be carried out when players fail to place the BLINDS
5. Choice of acclaimed " Huat Zai Yar " seat at Cheang Zheng's house must be voted, player(s)who wishes not to vie for the seat may do so.
6. Last game means LAST GAME, irregardless of the intensity of the last game.
7. Tipping is strongly encouraged.
8. Enjoy your game, it's a must.
9. Timing should go according to a Digital Timer to prevent any disputes over the inacurracy of its analogue counterpart.
Rules and Regulations are subjectable to change over time.

Some interesting historical facts of O.P.C.:
1. Aloy holds the record of losing $10 in 3 rounds, the fastest ever.
2. Kok has won the most, in proportion of the amount of money he cashed in, an amazing 300% turnover rate.
3. JT has yet to secure a major win.
4. JT, Bob, CZ have never missed any poker sessions, right from the poker trials.

Late late post... so pardon me if u read things that doesn't make sense. Its been a while since we had a good meal together, KEN suggested we (consisting of sarah,ken,cz & me) go to this seafood restaurant located in AMK that specialises in crab. We ordered e crab bee hoon and chilli crab and everything that has got to do with the crab was fine but e AH TIONG waitress' attitude was CRAP. When we finished ordering she asked, anything else. We replied no and she commented, OH! 你們是吃爽的啦! WTF...
Anyway when we finished eating, CZ suddenly realised we should have taken pictures of the dishes before tucking in but it was already too late. No worries peeps, we took pictures of leftovers instead! Enjoy!

Leftover crab bee hoon with a bit of soup... like what people say in chinese, good stuff sink to the bottom, this is truly the essence of the dish.

Is that chilli crab? Is that a pincer? It isn't a leftover, ain't it? well sorry to disappoint u guys, its juz the shell left, had some trouble putting it back in place though, just to make it picture perfect!

FANTASTIC COMEBACK

31st MAY 2008 ~ It was a rainy saturday, but that didn't stop the Orangees from making a successful comeback after an average 1st half performance. They were a goal down at half time due to a lapse of concentration from left back Derrick allowing NUMBER 16 from Chapalang to score from inside the penalty box. However, a better team performance from Orangees turned the tables when makeshift center-back Aaron and central midfielder Wilson scored 2 unstoppable goals, a screamer from 30 yards out and a lob over the keeper. The 2 goals were enough to see the Orangees through to a desperate victory after a series of poor performances for the past few weeks. Orangees could have extended their lead late in the second half after Aloy( anyway he played as striker for 2nd half ) hit the woodwork twice. It was so close yet so far. Overall a good performance for the team and i can foresee many more stars emerging from the new enlistees for NS. Keep it up guys. ~ BOB

Hey Orangees! Sorry for the late entry! Good to have regular Sat soccer back again. First of all, Must welcome Bob back from Taiwan! Quite an even match last Sat with the Blues and the Orangees scoring 2 goals each. Can see that alot of us were struggling with match fitness, but nvm, keep it up! Furthermore, the weather was really a killer that afternoon! Could see some good passing going on throughout the game. After a few more kick abouts, I'm sure we'll be able to take on more opponents! Match day 2 1-6 | BLUE TEAM RUNS RIOT; AWYONG SCRAPS A CONSOLATION GOAL FOR OFC

Overall, it was a poor performance by Orangees FC. Lack of match fitness and several careless mistakes caused Orangees to concede as much as 6 GOALS TODAY!

Played at SERANGOON SECONDARY SCHOOL, OFC's morale sinked to the bottom when visiting team scored 4 quick goals in the first half. The 2 GAYS who ran damn fast managed to exploit our defence several times and score that 4 identical goals.

In the second half, blue team continued to press for goals and were unlucky when their free kick hit the cross bar. OFC were struggling to create anything despite a better share of possession at the start of the second half. In the 76th min, OFC finally got their consolation goal when AW YONG volley a shot past blue team's keeper. By then, it was too late as the score was already 5-0. Blue team completed the job in the 85th min when captain AHMAD fires a top right hand corner shot past GK Aloy.

This posts serve as a reminder to us.
WE WILL DO BETTER NEXT GAME.

First HALF:

How should i start it ?.. Orangees performed pretty well in the first half with us leading 2-1. JT scored a pile driver at the 17th min after a pin point clearance by JASPER. Look at us. Even a clearance is PIN POINT! However, our happiness is shortlived. CLINTON. HE...he equalise immediately after they restart with his UsUAL kind of goal. Someone pass to him then he juz "CHAM" in.

Soon after, at the 37th min, I (MR. CZ) scored a solo effort from 25 yards. I did a knee twist to fake CLINTON to the ground and a side step to shake off NO.
6 before striking a screamer pass keeper AH GUAN. the crowd (only got 1 person which is the field warden uncle SALLEH) was effectively stunned.

2nd half :

With the inclusion of wilson CHUA in the veterans team, veterans team was much effective. They scored 2 with his involvement.

THE DRAMA:
BOB VS NO.6 & UNCLE DUA JIA &AH GUAN
it's a usual kind of push and push until buay song. Hence, I don't have to describe much. BUT i hope that orangees can refrain from sparking off such incidents anymore. We only want to ENJOY the GAME. THE ONE AND ONLY GAME

MATCH ON 19TH JANUARY 2008 @ NORTH VISTA

OK .. Its your favourite weekly match report again.. but this time its by BOB...
Firstly this is the starting line up for this week's match against the NOT-SO-OLDIES, whose team recently has been infused with several promising youth players such as GORDAN, ALVIN, SHENG LE, WILSON CHUA, and GORDAN's weird friend who showed tremendous talent in staring at his opponents..

As you can see, we are playing with 10 men as we are abit short-handed( or rather legged) recently as some of our team members are either overseas, working or down with dengue, esp WILSON( we hope you get well soon)

ok here are the highlights of the match:
1st 15 min : 0-2 orangees conceded 2 goals early in the match, real shocking goals!!
End of 1st half : 2-2 orangees equalised with goals from JT and KENDRICK, while JT injured several players from the opposing team, WICKED!!
1st 25 min of 2nd half : 4-2 orangees took the lead with goals from JT and RAYMOND if im not wrong, OLDIES may have suffered due to a change of goalkeeper.
End of 2nd half : FINAL SCORE 4-4 OLDIES orchestrated a wonderful comeback by scoring a goal from a corner and were lucky to find their 4th goal of the match due to miscommunication among the orangees defender

The new artifical field at bowen was simply great , although the length and width of the field were kinda small but still it was one of the better fields that we ever played on. If not for the heavy thunder storm it would have been a great game.
With goals from wilson and jian ting. If i remember correctly the scoreline was at 2 - 0 =D

As you all are aware, we've just set up a POSB Savings Account for the team to have better management of the team funds and it's also easier for you all to submit the team funds on time. Furthermore, the new jersey is on its way and we need the $$ to collect the jersey. So pls kindly submit the money into the account. Since now there is another avenue for submission of funds, I do not see any reason for late submission of funds. So here are the details of the account

Hm, we played not too bad today despite the really shitty weather and muddy field especially Aloy. Outstanding performance by him and a few of the other players such as Bob, Aaron, Alan, JT and CZ. Great commitment shown by all who turned up today. Keep it up! We saw a couple of beautiful goals scored by CZ and JT. JT scoring some rare goals from outside the penalty box, 2 to be exact. Today also saw the comeback of 2 of our players, Kok and Wilson Chan. Looking slightly rusty so need to play more to build up on their game. All in all, good performance by all the players, had some really good passing moments, just that we need to build up more on those. Hopefully we'll see a bigger turn out next week at Serangoon Sec. Pls come early next week as there's going to be a REF. Be there by 1630 hrs. And bring the $30 if you are not planning to transfer into the team's account. To those who paid up already, MANY THANKS!!

Oh, and yer...A very happy Bdae to Raymond whom we missed dearly from our strike force today!
